Urulimyne

The name means “Everything That Is”. It is the name the elves almost ten thousand years ago first gave to the world they found themselves in when they opened their eyes for the first time and began to explore. It is a globe, filled with lands surrounded by water and inhabited by many races of people and many creatures and animals. As the globe rotates on its axis and revolves around the sun, days and nights, weeks, months measured by the moon, years and centuries go by. One rotation of Urulimyne on its axis is one day and one night, one revolution around the sun takes 365 days, which is one year, and one year is divided into 12 months of 30 days each. Each month is measured by the moon: the moon starts full and wanes until it is dark and unseen and then waxes until it is full again. Each month is divided into 4 weeks of 7 days each, with one day at the beginning and one day at the end of each month that don’t belong to any week. In some areas these days are treated as holidays or otherwise special days, but in most places they are considered regular workdays. There are also 5 days at the end of each year that don’t belong to a week, but are days for celebrating the past year and the beginning of the New Year.
